The Canton Sugar Creek WTP and Wellfield Improvement project consisted of upgrading the 10 wells that distribute water to the Main Plant, upgrading the electrical switchgear that services the plant, removing and replacing process piping, valves, and pumps, removing and replacing the Filter Media in all 6 Filters, installing a new Overhead Bridge Crane, and renovating the interior of the Main WTP. Selective demolition and concrete construction was included in this project to allow the plant to treat the incoming water more efficiently. The project also included the installation of all new analytical equipment, new chemical injection equipment, and upgrades to the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition System (SCADA).
