Project 469-23
Sandusky, OH
The City of Sandusky WPCP Ultraviolet (UV) Disinfection Facility Rehabilitation Project included replacement of UV Disinfection Systems in two channels with upgraded UV Systems and integration of the new UV Systems with the plants existing process controls system. Precise demolition and concrete construction was included with the project to facilitate the installation and proper operation of the upgraded in-channel UV Systems (32-MGD and 16-MGD) with configurations differing significantly from the existing equipment being replaced. The project included new modulating weir gates, level and flow instrumentation, power distribution equipment, and enhanced automation capabilities for the plant. The $2.6M project was completed on-time within the required 13-month duration to provide upgraded effluent-disinfection ahead of the start of mandated Disinfection Season.
