Project 65-18
Wheeling, WV
Continuing our work on the region’s electrical grid, Great Lakes performed earthwork and foundation installation for a switch station expansion near Wheeling, West Virginia. Located at the end of a winding road in the hills above the Ohio River, this project required careful coordination with all involved to maintain a safe and accessible site. Over 30,000 CY of cut/fill excavation created a new station pad and developed access roads to large diameter transmission line foundations, which were then drilled and placed by Great Lakes’ crews.
