The Cuyahoga Riverfront Development Project has uniquely showcased the depth and diversity of Great Lakes Construction’s capabilities, engaging every sector of the Company. Early phases of the project included installation of a new bulkhead wall along the Cuyahoga River and extensive site preparation, including environmental remediation.
Great Lakes has continued to demonstrate its ability to deliver complex scopes through deep utility installations and the demolition of the existing Eagle Avenue Viaduct over active GCRTA tracks. Great Lakes’ expertise in wastewater infrastructure has also supported construction of a new pump station that will serve both the development and the surrounding area.
Looking ahead, Great Lakes will continue to play a key role as construction begins on the new Eagle Avenue Bridge, helping to reconnect and enhance this revitalized region to downtown Cleveland.
