Over the winter, Great Lakes completed drilled shaft placement for 40 structures on the Transmission Line Foundations Project in Dresden Ohio. Drilled shaft diameters varied from 4.5 feet up to 9 feet, with depths as much as 63 feet. Challenges arose early as the team dealt with both unexpected rock drilling and a tough winter season. However, they powered through with diligent tracking, communication, and structure adjustments with our customer once hard bedrock had been reached. Work was completed in mid-March.
